Carwash nightmare

Here is a painting I have been working on in my spare time for weeks now. I think I am done with it now. It reminds me of a carwash nightmare. I remember my Mom used to hate to drive threw the car washes that had those little hanging things that swished all over the car to wash it. This was done with Derwent Ink Tense pencils. I want to find some liquid inks I can use with a brush, to me, using these pencils is like double to work, coloring and then going over it with water... it would be easier to just paint the inks on. Any way, it was fun... I'm staring on a triptych now.... I'll share when I have it done.

Busy, Busy, Busy

I can't believe I haven't posted in her this year! Wow, time sure flys. I've been super busy with work. The trade show for this year is over, all the stuff is put away, and I even got my office cleaned up on Friday, so Monday will be ready for a "new year". Here are some photos I took at the "Take Me Out to the Trade Show" with a baseball theme.

Teaching Zentangle

This is really exciting for me. I spent an hour teaching Matthew how to do Zentangle. I spent an hour drawing with my son! How cool is that? I think he did a great job! Considering his creative outlet is and has always been music, this was a giant first step. The photo shows my demo, and Matthew's on the right.

Stay-cation from work.

I did finish the painting, and a few others last week. I took a weeks stay-cation from work. I did get-away for a day trip to Chicago with Jeff and Matthew. We spent the entire day at the Art Institute of Chicago. It was a wonderful day. We took tons of photos. I hope you enjoy them...
