To all my family and friends...

Because it was just the four of us, we decided to do something different and go out to eat for Thanksgiving. We went to Amish Acres in Napannee Indiana. It was a very nice dinner. On the way home, we took a drive down town Elkhart to visit the heart I painted for the Have a Heart Fundraiser. I have to tell you, I was a little worried about what would happen when they weather coated it, but I didn't see any problems, and it gives it a nice shiny coat. The hearts are on display until the auction on Valentines Day.

  1. Oh Deb, seeing the heart dwarfing you really puts its size in perspective. What a great job you did on it. Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful.

  2. I agree with Jean, not only about the unexpected size of your work but also the beauty of it. What a wonderful achievement. Well done, Deb!

  3. I have to admit, I really like the way the heart turned out. I just hope it sells at the auction and the hospital gets the funds it needs to help. Some of the money goes toward supplying community defibrillators, so that if someone needs treatment, they don't have to wait for an ambulance to get to them. Real life-saving stuff. If painting this heart provides that service to the community, I am happy to have helped.
