zentangle & zendala

This is what I worked on last night while Matthew was in his Philosophy class. I can't find my camera, so I had to take this photo with my cell phone... I hate it when I am stressed out and clean house, I can't remember where I put things... at least I hope that is what happened and I will eventually find my camera!

Watercolor Beach Scene postcard

Here is a watercolor postcard I painted today. I really like the way this came out. I also worked on a couple of zentangle drawings today while I waited for Matthew's Philosophy class to end, I will show you tomorrow when I have better light to photograph them.

Abstract Watercolor Paintings

Here are a couple of abstract watercolor paintings I have been working on the past few days.  They are a work in progress, but I like how they are coming along.

Climbing Roses

This watercolor painting started out completely as a nonrepresentational abstract painting, but art being what it is, took on life of it's own. This was truly fun watching the painting come out of the white paper. The rock wall formed first, but I felt it was missing something, I thought about doing some zentangle patterns on it, but then I had the idea that it should have some roses, so after a quick search for a photo for reference, climb the wall they did.
