Three more additions to my "Zentangle" Sketchbook. Some people think I am stupid for doing these. They think I should just do "realistic" paintings. We are never going to make everyone happy... it is best to make myself happy doing what I love to do. I get totally lost in thought when I work on these. The time flies by... sometimes, if I start on one late in the evening, when I am working on these, I get so lost in what I am doing, that when I look at the clock, it's the wee hours of the morning!
I feel indignant on your behalf. There´s nothing remotely stupid about doing something you love, especially when it turns out like the above examples. Follow your heart and keep right on doing what you want regardless of what some others may think.
ReplyDeleteFor the most part, people try to give helpful advice, but I know that not all people like the same things. The hardest part is when the person is in my inner circle... it's harder to let the comments or sometimes just their tone of voice slide off my back. But they cannot know the methods to my madness, they are not in my head. You are right, I will keep following my heart. :)
